There's a new high school in Scotland, and it's designed to give students a taste of what it's like to work in the medical field.

The St.

Machar Academy, which opened in September, is a partnership between St.

Machar High School in Aberdeen and the National Health Service in Scotland, and it's designed to give students a taste of what it's like to work in the field, NBC News reports.

The idea is to give them a taste of what it's like to work in a real medical facility, complete with actual medical equipment.

"Essentially, this has meant the creation of a dedicated classroom where young people can learn about the many healthcare career options available to them while gaining hands-on and theoretical experience in a simulated environment complete with real world medical equipment," NHS Scotland's director of excellence and innovation writes in a blog post about the academy.

The idea is to give students a taste of what it's like to work in the medical field while they're still in high school, and NHS Scotland hopes it can be a model for other schools in the region.
