Foundation Provides Resources to Enrich Teaching

"We look forward to using it through all of our classes to help expose our students to upper-level equipment that they should see in college," says science teacher Elizabeth Collier of a $20,000 grant she received from the Fairfield ISD Education Foundation in December.

The foundation, a non-profit organization, awards grants to teachers who submit requests to supplement teaching materials, the Eagle Beat reports.

"And provide alternative ways to think and understand the material they are learning, we are not just trying to memorize information, we are trying to build thinkers," says math teacher Nicole Crawford, who received a grant to provide whiteboards for her students to use. Read the Entire Article
