An upstate New York school district has been awarded a $163,302 state grant to fund a second high school guidance counselor and stipends for members of the Social Emotional Learning Taskforce, the Daily Gazette reports.
"Investing in the well-being of our students is an investment in their future," says Canajoharie Central School District Special Education Director Jennifer Schwabrow in a press release.
The grant comes from the state education department's Mental Health Recover from COVID School Program.
Canajoharie was one of 40 districts and BOCES programs to receive the funding.
