"Take our children to work day" isn't a phrase you'd typically associate with a university, but that's exactly what employees of the University of Oregon in Eugene did on April 25.
As part of the school's "Take Our Children to Work Day" initiative, the Office of Human Resources hosted "Kids on Campus Day" for children between the ages of 4 and 12 who worked at the university, KATU reports.
There were 27 programs and activities for the kids to choose from, ranging from choral conducting to shoe design and marketing to cookie- decorating and facility tours.
"Because we had so many units hosting activities, it was easy for kids to find something they wanted to do," a senior associate director of employee development and engagement says in a press release.
"I love to meet with kids, to see the other departments that take the time to be here and I want people to know what CBIRT does," says a program coordinator for the Center on Brain Injury Research and Training.
