Don Pedro High Principal Receives Top Award

A high school principal in Tuolumne, Calif., has been named the Association of California School Administrators' Region 7 Principal of the Year for her "exceptional leadership and dedication to student success."

Claire Lamm, principal of Don Pedro High School in Big Oak Flat-Groveland Unified School District, was nominated for the award based on her "unwavering commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment where each student is valued as unique," according to an ACSA press release.

"She is devoted, continually seeking creative ways to inspire, and always ready to have fun at her school," the president of a charter school where Lamm is the president says she "looks for innovative ways to bring [her school] resources to her school."

The release notes that Lamm "goes beyond the traditional role of a principal by actively engaging with students, teachers, and parents to create tailored academic plans that cater to the specific needs of every learner."
