Mary Dinkel is a second-grade teacher at Fayette Elementary School in Terre Haute, Ind., and she's also a member of the Indiana Educator Fellowship for Creative Teaching.
She's one of 18 teachers from across the state selected to receive a $1,000 honorarium and three days of "immersive, hands-on training in connecting creativity to state standards, access to a fully funded in-school creative arts residency, and a $1,000 honorarium," per a press release from the Indiana Arts Commission.
Dinkel and fellow fellow teacher Christine Gauer will join 18 other teachers from across the state in this year's cohort, which will also feature virtual learning sessions and a "fully funded in-school creative arts residency," per the IAC.
