Students in one Iowa school district will soon have a new place to hang their hats.
The Des Moines Register reports on Ankeny Schools' plan to build an "innovative hub" in its middle and high schools.
According to the school district's website, the hub will "foster collaboration, autonomy, and purpose among students" and "create an interactive community impact through experiences to grow student's creative genius in an ever-changing world."
The idea for the hub came from the school district's strategic plan.
"As we neared the end of our research and discovery, it led to the question: 'How might we design an innovative, district-wide culture that promotes curiosity and creates an interactive community impact through experiences to grow student's creative genius in an ever-changing world?'" the website quotes the plan as saying.
