Local School Districts Receive $4M in Grants for Workforce Development
Foundation: Bohemian Foundation
Thanks to a $4 million grant, two Colorado school districts will be able to offer more career and technical programs to students, the Coloradoan reports.
The Poudre School District and Larimer County School District will each receive $2 million from the Bohemian Foundation and $1 million from Larimer County.
Each school district will use the money to offer new or expanded career and technical programs in areas such as audio production, hydraulic services, aviation, behavioral health, college launch, computer science, construction, medical assistant, and natural resources.
"We are grateful for the opportunity to work with both school districts and numerous community partners to provide youth with inspiring, supportive, and creative education and life opportunities," Cheryl Zimlich, president and CEO of the Bohemian Foundation, says in a press release.
