Norfolk Premium Outlets Taps Vibe Creative District Artists for Murals

What do you do when your mall's windows are so empty that you can't even see inside? That's what happened at Norfolk Premium Outlets in Virginia, where four artists spent two days painting murals in the mall's storefront windows, WTKR reports.

"There was more energy," says Slovenia's Tara Vogrin, who painted one of the murals.

"I even let one man paint because he wanted to give it try."

Vogrin was one of the artists who worked with Virginia Beach's Ruby Starcher, Virginia Beach's Hanna Kirby, and Virginia Beach's Amber Pierce to create the murals, which can be seen here.

The executive director of the shopping center, which is managed by the Simon Property Group, says the murals improve the center's guest experience and boost the local economy.

She tells the Virginian-Pilot that the center is "focused on being involved with this culture" and hopes to add more murals.
