The grant is one of seven totaling more than $1 million in Round 2 funding aimed at expanding high-quality construction apprenticeship programs across the state.
Since launching in 2023, BuildItAZ has connected nearly 3,000 Arizonans to apprenticeships, with a goal of doubling the number of construction apprentices by 2026.
Five Gilbert Public Schools students have earned prestigious National Merit Scholarships in the 2025 competition.
