CSU Receives $557 Million in Charitable Giving for 2022-23

In the last two decades, California State University has received more than $557 million in new donations and more than $466 million in gift receipts.

In a press release, the university notes that its cumulative endowment market value reached an all-time high of over $2.5 billion.

"Philanthropic support has a significant impact on the CSU and its 23 universities, enriching campus communities, and providing support for the CSU's work in creating social mobility for graduates, their families, and communities across California and the nation," says Chancellor Mildred Garc ? a.

Some of the major gifts in 2022-23: $93.7 million for faculty support and academic enrichment $44.8 million for student scholarships $29.7 million for athletics $17.3 million for academic research $15 million for student affairs and student life $13 million for additional university priorities $9 million to fund the new Autodesk Technology Engagement Center $7 million to fund more than 1,000 new preschool and elementary school teachers $20 million to launch two programs that will prepare more than 1,000 new preschool and early school teachers Read the Entire Article
