"Not all of us like to get up and talk in front of people, not all of us like public attention, but you can express yourself in other ways, and art has, throughout history, been one of the best ways to express yourself."
So says Louisiana state Rep.
Mike Johnson of his daughter's artwork, which won first place in an art contest atBarron Elementary School in Pineville.
"I think it enriches their lives," he tells KALB.
"I think it gives them something to express themselves."
Johnson also donated $500 to the school, which will be used to buy art supplies.
