The acting president of Ohio's Kenyon College has rejected a student union's claim that the institution is profiting off its students, the Kenyon Collegian reports.
The Kenyon Student Worker Organizing Committee released a white paper earlier this month that claims the college has made "significant investments" in its business and finance divisions but hasn't given students any financial support during the tenure of the chair of the Board of Trustees.
Acting President Jeff Bowman says the white paper is anonymous and that it doesn't reflect Kenyon's values.
The union, however, says the report is the product of collective efforts by all employees at the school.
At a town hall on Friday, students discussed the white paper and other issues affecting student workers.
"We think that a union can go much further than wages and benefits," says K-SWOC President Djibril Branche.
Bowman, however, says the white paper contains inaccuracies and that the school has corrected them. Read the Entire Article
