Foundation: Lancaster County Community Foundation

In 2024, Lancaster County, Pa., will celebrate the 100th anniversary of a group of "visionaries" who "came together to shape a better future for Lancaster County," says Sam Bressi, president and CEO of the Lancaster County Community Foundation.

To mark the occasion, the foundation is awarding more than $1 million in grants to four areas: Creative Expression, Well-Being and Vibrancy, Next Generation, and Our Planet.

"We know that if we come together as a community and focus our efforts in these four areas now, we can set positive change in motion that will continue to build momentum over time," Bressi says in a press release.

More than $500,000 has been awarded in the Creative Expression and Well-Being and Vibrancy categories, per the Patriot-News.

A full list of winners can be seen here.

"We're here because in 1924, a group of visionaries came together to shape a better future for Lancaster County," Bressi says.

"Thanks to their foresight and generosity, we've been part of creating a resilient, inclusive, and vibrant community."
